Join or set up an EcoNeighbourhood
Where our climate action activators tailor their support to suit each community and place, EcoNeighbourhoods is a structured programme.
If you live in a Local Board area where EcoNeighbourhoods operate (see below), and you want to get involved, you’ll need to involve at least six people from different households in your neighbourhood.
There may be an existing group you can join, or if you register as an individual, you might be put in touch with other people near you to set up your own group. You can register at any time and a representative will be in touch. Groups receive up to 12 hours of facilitation support and up to $1,000 to help you carry out two activities a year.
This funding is reviewed yearly to ensure groups are supported on your sustainability journey. Funding is available for a set number of groups in each area.
Once you're a registered group, you decide what you want to do to help our environment and then go for it! A community facilitator will help you get going and provide support, advice, ideas and resources along the way.
