Ark in the Park is a partnership between Forest & Bird and Auckland Council, supported by Te Kawerau ā Maki.  Its aims to create an open sanctuary in the Waitākere Ranges Regional Park and return many of the species.

KiwiHarvest has rescued and distributed over 12 million kilograms of food to 220 charitable organisations across New Zealand. Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae located in Mangare in South Auckland is a traditional marae practicing hua parakore to strengthen our community with food, culture, and interconnectivity. Repair Cafes are events where you can bring broken or damaged items and locals volunteer their time and expertise to fix them for you for no charge. The idea is to encourage the concept of Repair-Renew-Reuse.

Resource Recovery Devonport focuses on diverting waste from landfills by implementing efficient recycling and recovery methods. This initiative aims to promote sustainability by reducing the environmental impact of waste disposal, encouraging the community to participate in recycling efforts.

Rākau Tautoko is an Auckland-based social enterprise undertaking community-related projects, community research and development advice, facilitation and leadership.  We are a network of skilled, creative and like-minded practitioners who enjoy working together and take pride in doing high quality community work.

STEPS (St Lukes Environmental Protection Society) was incorporated in 2005 to protect and enhance the environment and amenities in the St Lukes area.

Sustainable Coastlines brings people together to reduce plastic pollution and other litter to protect the moana we all love. We operate nationwide, inspiring change through beach clean-ups, education, and litter data collection.

A community hub where people can learn about being sustainable and plastic free and visit stalls by local artists and crafters. 

Education on waste minimisation practices, as well as advice on recycling, composting  and growing vegetables, and how to save money by using reuseable cloth nappies, making their own laundry and cleaning products. Part of the Te Awa Ora Trust.

We are a charitable trust working in Tāmaki - Maungakiekie. Educating our community on ways to reduce waste, we support groups and organisations towards a waste reduction kaupapa.

The Village Square Trust is a non-profit community services provider with 40 years’ experience in bringing people in our community together. We manage both Parnell and Epsom Community Centre on on behalf of Auckland Council and provide a range of services to people of all ages.

Tread Lightly programmes inspire school students aged 5 to 12 years and their families (whanau) to make simple changes to their everyday lives that will help protect and restore the natural environment.

Waiheke Resources Trust (WRT) is a professional not-for-profit organisation that has been serving the Waiheke community since 1998. We work to celebrate and protect all the resources we already have, and build capacity and knowledge in the community toward the creation of a resource-full future for all.

At Waiuku Zero Waste we take recycling, rubbish, e-waste, green waste, scrap steel and household goods in good condition. Already, we are diverting approximately 70% of our rubbish from being dumped in landfills. We’re aiming for 100%… or as we call that, ‘Zero Waste’. 

Specialising in public, corporate and private education, Waste-Ed With Kate delivers tailor-made sessions, drawing on common consumer insights to deliver captivating, motivational presentations to create meaningful consumer behaviour change.

We are a community led charity run by amazing volunteers, who dedicate time and energy towards ensuring that Aotearoa changes the way it sees ‘waste’. We believe in a brighter, cleaner future Aotearoa New Zealand where resources are kept out of landfill, their life extended and reducing the consumption of new resources.
