In Your Neighbourhood Take Local Climate Action Hero

Take local climate action

In your neighbourhood

Across our region, Auckland Council and Local Board kaimahi are available to help you plan and implement climate projects.

Local climate activators are helping to bring Local Board climate action plans to life, while EcoNeighbourhood facilitators support people to come together and run their own projects. These programmes span most of our Local Board areas.

Through Long-Term Plan funding, we also work closely with the Community Climate Action Network (CCAN) and support Catalyst Projects that build momentum on climate action across our communities.

Take Climate Action

Find Your Pathway to Local Climate Action

Auckland Council supports three distinct, locally-led avenues for you to get involved and drive change in your neighbourhood. Whether you need funding, coordination support or an organised group to join, one of these pathways might be right for you.
