Join this practical workshop with Mark Mortimer from the NZ Bamboo Society. Participants will explore the craft of working with bamboo, learning how to harvest, process, and weave it into useful structures for the home garden.

Focusing on the construction of a raised planter, Mark will demonstrate techniques that can be adapted to a wide range of garden projects. The workshop is designed for beginners and home gardeners, using simple tools and accessible materials to create durable and functional woven structures.

Participants will gain an understanding of bamboo as a sustainable building material and leave with the skills to incorporate woven bamboo elements into their own gardens.
