About this event

Join Ali at Botany Library for an interactive Love Food Hate Waste session where children discover how easy and rewarding it is to grow their own food.

Kids will plant microgreens using recycled materials and take home a starter growing kit to look after. Because microgreens sprout quickly, children can harvest and enjoy eating what they have grown.

What to bring

Please bring along clean, empty fruit trays or punnets (such as strawberry or berry containers) to reuse as planters.

Organiser

Delivered by Compost Collective and supported by Auckland Council through the Love Food Hate Waste programme.
