About the Event

Join the team at the Manurewa Repair Café and Mending Circle and give your beloved items a second life. Their skilled volunteers are here to help you repair and restore a variety of household items.

You can bring along:

• Small home electrical items
• Woodworking projects
• Blades for sharpening (one per person)
• Small metalwork repairs
• Sewing repairs
• Laptop and mobile phone assessments and advice
• General handy person tasks

Got a tear, a missing button or a rip you've been meaning to fix? Visit the Mending Circle alongside the Repair Café. Their experienced sewists will guide you through repairing clothing, toys and other textiles.

Koha is appreciated. Your contribution helps keep this valuable community service running.

Repairing and reusing your belongings helps keep items out of landfill, preserves treasured possessions and can save you money.

Please note that lawnmowers and bicycles cannot be repaired at this event. For bike repairs, visit Bike Hub Manurewa between 10am and 4pm, Thursday to Saturday.

No RSVP is required. Simply come along on the day with one item per person. Enjoy free advice, learn practical repair skills and share a cuppa with the community.
