Participants who state that they would like to be entered into the prize draw at the end of the survey will be included in the draw.

The prize draw will take place, and the winners will be contacted, on 9 November 2026.

By entering the prize draw, entrants are considered to have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.

Competitions and giveaways

• A prize will be given to an entrant selected by random draw.
• Every entrant confirms that all information submitted is true, current and complete. Auckland Council may disqualify an entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
• The prize draw is open to Auckland Council Group employees, including employees of council-controlled organisations and subsidiaries.
• A person may enter only once. Multiple entries will result in disqualification.
• The prize draw supports participation in the electric vehicle survey.
• The survey collects information used to test Auckland Council employees' knowledge of electric vehicles.

Entries, selection and prizes

• Auckland Council will make reasonable attempts to contact prize draw winners using the details provided in the survey. If those attempts are unsuccessful, another winner may be selected.
• Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person or sold. Prizes cannot be used with another offer or promotion.
• If a prize, or part of a prize, becomes unavailable, Auckland Council may cancel or amend the prize at its sole discretion. This may include providing a substitute prize in full or in part.
• Winners will be notified in advance if prizes are sent by courier. Couriered prizes must be signed for on receipt. If a signature cannot be obtained, the prize will be returned to Auckland Council and another winner may be selected.
• Auckland Council's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Privacy

Entrants' information will be collected, used, stored, disclosed and corrected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

Entrants have the right to access their personal information and ask for incorrect information to be corrected.

Exclusions

The following people are not eligible to win a prize:

• anyone under 18 at the time of entry
• anyone Auckland Council excludes from participating at its sole discretion
• anyone who breaches these terms and conditions, gains an unfair advantage or uses fraudulent means to enter.

Auckland Council is not liable for any loss, damage, costs or injury suffered by an entrant as a result of, or in connection with, the prize draw. This includes an inability to enter, complete or continue the survey or prize draw because of equipment failure or a technical malfunction.

Auckland Council may amend these terms and conditions at its sole discretion. This includes extending, postponing or cancelling the prize draw.

These terms and conditions are governed by New Zealand law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
